Exploring Microcomputing Applications — CMP-5055-3
This course is an overview of basic computer applications: word processing, computer graphics, spreadsheets and databases. The course also gives a general outline of how to integrate these different applications, and how to manage files in a computer operating system.
Word Processing 1 — CMP-5056-1
This course favours the development of basic word-processing skills. The student will learn to produce and modify text, format both characters and paragraphs, and finally manage and organize files produces.
Word Processing 2 — CMP-5057-1
This learning guide prepares students to further develop their ability to use the word-processing program of their choice. Students learn to modify text, to insert pictures, to create tables and columns and to print their work using more complex layouts. The approach focuses on the underlying logic common to most word-processing software and the activities that support students in developing appropriate skills with their software.
Spreadsheets 1 — CMP-5058-1
An introduction to the basics of spreadsheets. This learning guide aims at preparing students to use the spreadsheet program of their choice to create and modify worksheets and to use formulas and functions. Students also learn to modify the layout of the worksheets and to print their work. The approach focuses on the underlying logic common to most spreadsheet software and the activities that support students in developing basic spreadsheet skills with their software.
 
Spreadsheets 2 — CMP-5059-1
This learning guide prepares students to further develop their ability to use the spreadsheet program of their choice. Students learn to modify existing worksheets, to prepare models, to use graphic commands and to print their work using more complex layouts. The approach focuses on the underlying logic common to most spreadsheet software and the activities that support students in developing spreadsheet skills with their software.
Consulting Database — CMP-5060-1
This course with help you expand the knowledge and skills required to consult a database program of your choice. You will learn to sort data-base contents, perform searches (also called Queries) and print the re-sults of your search. The learning approach focuses on the underlying logic common to most database software and the activities support you in developing basic consulting skills using your database software.

Computer Graphics — CMP-5062-2
This is an introductory course to computer graphic programs and their potential. The student will learn to draw and modify lines and shapes, integrate text into the drawing, etc.
